How AutoMod works
First matching rule decides
Every message is checked against all active rules in order; the first rule that matches decides what happens - no further rules apply on top for that same message.
Actions combine freely
Each rule can combine several actions - delete, warn, timeout, kick, ban, notify mods or lock the channel - and they run automatically one after another.
Exemptions per rule
Roles, channels and individual members can be exempted per rule; moderators with "Manage Messages" and bots are always exempt from message checks.
Anti-Nuke watches the audit log
Independent of messages, Anti-Nuke counts mass bans, kicks, deletions and role or channel tampering in the audit log per actor - once the threshold is hit, quarantine, kick or ban follow.
Join protection on arrival
Very young accounts, bot raids and sudden join spikes are detected right when someone joins the server and are sanctioned or reported to the log, depending on the rule.
